Scout Jamboree annual event in Gresik.

An annual event for students in special education schools "Scout Jamboree" which has been vacuum  for few years ago, but  finally was started to rise again. Under direct coordination of the City Education Department Gresik, an event was  held immediately on May 29th, 2012. This activity was considered as the first step for students of Extraordinary schools and inclusive schools, showing their arts talents, sports, and creativity in the field of Scouting.

Mr. Agus,as a head of Special Education, part of the Education Department  in Gresik said that there is only one government school for Special Education, besides seven others private run by  foundation and twenty-two Private school Education Institutions.Among the Inclusive Schools, there are two elementary schools,  SDN Tlogopatut 1 and SDN Sidokumpul 7 in the Gresik District , and one Elementary School in Mriyunan, the Sidayu District.There are two Secondary School,  SMPN 4 Gresik and SMPN 3 Sidayu.

He also added that Jamboree event held in a short time, the heart begins with the opening at eight   morning and will close at nine p.m.This Event was attended by all of the Excellent schools both government and the private sector.

Tent - a tent full of Boy Scouts set up colorful decorations neatly lined up outside at the yard that around the building which called as GEDUNG WAHANA  CREATIVE POESPONEGORO.So many kinds of rigging the race begun, Reading Semampore to making Pioneerr and competitions that are fun sports like Footsal also played by the students.

Seem to look so festive students - students with a variety of teachers and their inability to come together in the House chamber rides Poesponegoro expression that lies in the Jaksa Agung Soeprapto Road. There is a small stage used for showing arts, each school showed their best and choicen students.

“Although most of them are disciples that they have limitation,considering as being different with normally person in general, but it does not mean that they can not afford to serve and provide for the best things to the other people firmly,”

Mrs. Mujayanah said,she is one of the committee and she has dedicated her energy,thought and knowledge for children with disability or  special needs student for nearly fifteen years.

Althought they have limitations in terms of their physical, but remains capable to perform very well Pantomime arts. They were Oki, a deaf student from  SLB Cerme KB class two, and Amelia Mufidah from  Gresik Bhayangkari Kemala Foundation Class C five, talented in reading poetry.

Other performance from student while sitting, but looking well. she is Shella, Inclusive student in the fourth grade SDN Tlogopatut I, though blind, but she has a melodious voice and  singing beautifully, and the memorable show was held  once the students from SLB Mriyuna deaf school were featuring traditional dances in group performance.
With the convening of such a pickle would be able to spur the spirit in learning for the children with special needs  , the support came from various parties started at family, school teachers, the sorrounding and equally important is the support of the government's expected to increase their quality of life and raise their independence . Although with simple equipment even without hearing aids  some students were still able to enjoy local country music, played dangdut music , they stood in union and dancing together together with the teachers .Their appearance were really touching and blissful scenery taht I have ever seen.

With the commitment of the Government in handling Gresik regency children - children with special needs, started by establishing a  Resources Center, referred as the Center for Hearing and Communication, it can be expected that the number of children with physical limitations and capabilities, especially in terms of listening and communication skill disability will be more to be detected earlier and handled in early stage too.

In can be expected in the future government  pay more attention to facilities both in terms of equipment or human resources in terms of inclusive teacher and develope the support in advanced. In order to reach the successful HCC program, it should be good in coordination, cooperation of inter sectoral, inter program, and support from various parties.
